Best free image-to-video AI tools in 2026

Updated November 4, 2026 · by the Pikmova team

For free videos with no account and no watermark, Pikmova (2 a day) and MoveFrame (1 a day) are the simplest; both make 5-second 480p clips. For the cheapest HD videos per month, MoveFrame Pro ($9.90 for about 24) is slightly cheaper than Pikmova Starter ($9.99 for 20); Pikmova has a no-subscription option (8 HD videos for $4.99). For many tools and models in one account, Magic Hour and Pika are broader — but Magic Hour’s free exports carry a watermark.

Disclosure: we make Pikmova, one of the tools below. Facts about other tools come from their own websites, read on November 4, 2026; prices and limits change often, so check before you buy. Where a page does not say something, we write “Not stated” rather than guess. We list where we are weaker, too.

What to look for

  1. Real AI motion, not a pan. Some “photo to video” tools only zoom and pan the still image. Look at example videos: do people and animals actually move?
  2. What “free” means. Per day, one-off credits, or watermarked exports — and whether failed attempts count against you.
  3. The watermark and resolution of free videos. 480p without a watermark is shareable; 720p with a logo often is not.
  4. The real price per HD video. Divide the monthly price by the number of videos, and check whether unused credits roll over.
  5. What happens to your photo. How long it is kept, whether it trains models, and whether results are public.

FAQ

Is there a free image-to-video AI with no sign-up?

Yes. Pikmova (2 videos a day) and MoveFrame (1 a day) work without an account and add no watermark to free videos. Magic Hour’s free tool also needs no sign-up, but its free exports have a watermark.

Is any image-to-video AI really unlimited and free?

We did not find one that is unlimited at good quality. Free plans are limited per day or by credits, because each video costs real computing time.

Which free image-to-video tools have no watermark?

As read on their pages on November 4, 2026: Pikmova (all videos), MoveFrame (the daily free video) and Pika (all plans) state no watermark. Magic Hour’s free exports include one.

Can ChatGPT turn a photo into a video itself?

Not with motion from your own photo in the normal chat: ChatGPT can describe or edit images, and OpenAI’s video app is a separate product. A dedicated image-to-video tool takes your photo and returns an MP4 in about a minute.

Which is best for old family photos?

Ask for small motions (smile, blink, slight head turn). MyHeritage Deep Nostalgia is built for this; general tools like Pikmova also work and need no account.

Example source photos on this page were themselves made with an AI image model, so no real person appears; the videos are unedited Pikmova results.
